Borough of Phoenixville — Boards, Committees & Commissions
The Borough of Phoenixville appoints resident volunteers to citizen boards and commissions that advise Borough Council on planning, zoning, historic preservation, recreation, trees, civil service, and human relations. Members are appointed or reappointed annually by Borough Council for specific terms of office, and applicants complete a short interview with Council.

Serves on the borough Planning Commission, which prepares the comprehensive plan, recommends adoption or amendment of the official map, prepares the borough's zoning ordinance and makes recommendations on proposed amendments, and prepares, recommends and administers subdivision and land development regulations.

Serves on the board that advances the preservation and protection of the old historic district, architecturally worthy structures, and landscape features of the Borough of Phoenixville, and encourages the economic development and revitalization of the Phoenixville Downtown Historic District.

Civil Service Commission Member
Serves on the commission that makes rules and regulations providing for the examination of applicants for positions in the police force and as paid fire apparatus operators and for promotions, prescribing minimum qualifications of applicants and passing grades.
